BondiBrit is a mother–daughter brand that fuses British sophistication with Bondi ease. Inspired by our roots — my mum in Australia and me in the UK — we create flattering, timeless pieces designed for everyday wear.

How did you start your business?

I worked as a personal trainer throughout university. In my final year, COVID stopped me from starting my brand, but it taught me a lot about how women want to look and feel. A few years later, I saved up my earnings and launched BondiBrit.

How did you choose the name of your business?

The name BondiBrit comes from the places that inspire us: Bondi Beach, where my mum is from, and Britain, where I’m from. It reflects the blend of Bondi’s relaxed ease and British sophistication that we bring to our clothes.

What or who inspires your products?

BondiBrit is inspired by women’s everyday lives — blending British sophistication with Bondi ease to create timeless, flattering pieces in natural cotton.

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day involves a lot of social media, planning, shoots, emails, and checking the website—balancing creativity with the practical side of running BondiBrit.

What do you enjoy most about the creative process?

I love clothes and being practical, taking an idea and creating something that’s both beautiful and wearable. Seeing it come to life is what I enjoy most.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a small business owner?

The biggest challenge has been reaching the right audience using only social media. That’s why showing our pieces in person, so people can see, touch, and feel them, is so important.

What is your hero product or one that means the most to you and why?

Our hero product is the Pippa Zip-Up Hoodie. It has size slits that lay flat over the tummy and bum for a flattering fit, a double zip, a hood, and knitted braiding down the sleeves. It combines style, comfort, and thoughtful details.

What tip (or tips) would you give anyone looking to start a small creative business?

Be super patient — building a small creative business takes time. Learn about your audience, trust your instincts, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself along the way.
