How did you start your business?
At House of L’amore, we’ve always believed everything happens for a reason, and we’ve learned to find the silver linings in life. Ours turned out to be a close friendship and a shared love for all things shiny.
How did you choose the name of your business?
Our name, House of L’amore [luh-moor] (verb), says exactly what it is – the house of love, the house of shared love. It reflects the friendship and passion that inspires everything we create.
What or who inspires your products?
We’re inspired by the idea that everyone deserves jewellery they can truly live in – high quality yet accessibly priced, and made to be worn with confidence, even by those with the most sensitive skin.
What does a typical day look like?
A typical day for us is spent at our studio shooting new content, editing images, planning layouts for upcoming shows, and, of course, making endless lists – which for us, is half the excitement!
What do you enjoy most about the creative process?
For us, what we enjoy most about the creative process is sharing a space of complete openness – fueled by a whole lot of coffee – which brings our ideas to life. Seeing our customers with beaming smiles at the finish line is the ultimate reward.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a small business owner?
Our biggest challenge as a small business is wearing so many hats at once – sometimes we wish we could just duplicate ourselves to tackle all the exciting things on our plate!
What is your hero product or one that means the most to you and why?
Our hero product is the Oval Clasp Bangle, it was the first design that inspired House of L’amore. With it’s sleek, classic and timeless design, it embodies the vision behind all our pieces.
What tip (or tips) would you give anyone looking to start a small creative business?
If you have an idea you can’t stop thinking about, pursue it. With enough passion and persistence, what feels impossible can become achievable.
