I'm Alistair Laburnum, a woodturner based in Hampshire. What began as passion (my wife insists it's an obsession) has become a lifelong pursuit of crafting beautiful, functional, and decorative pieces from sustainably sourced and reclaimed wood.
Much of the native timber I work with is rescued from arborist waste, while the exotics woods come from reclaimed sources; old furniture, offcuts, or long-abandoned stock. For me, every project is more than craft, it's a chance to breathe new life into wood, allowing each piece to tell a story that continues long after it leaves my lathe.
