Accessibility at the Business Design Centre

If you arrive by car, we have 8 dedicated parking spaces for blue badge holders in our on-site car park. There is a passenger lift to street level or the BDC forecourt, or you can take the 17-step pedestrian staircase.

The route from the car park to the building is well-lit and clearly marked. The surface is firm. There are two staircases between street level and the building (5 and 12 steps respectively, all with handrails). We have a ramp on the forecourt.

If someone is dropping you off in a vehicle, please contact our front of house team so we can give you access to the forecourt through our security point. Please call 020 7288 6475.

If you’re coming by train, the nearest step-free stations are King’s Cross and St Pancras International, which are easily reachable via bus or taxi.

Train

King’s Cross St Pancras is served by two national rail services – East Coast Main Line and Midland Main Line.

Emergencies

In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, the fire alarms will activate. Our fire alarms give audio and visual signals to help visitors evacuate the building. The venue fire marshals will also assist you as you leave. There are two Evac chairs on-site to assist people in wheelchairs to reach the ground floor in the event of a fire.

There are emergency red phones on each floor of the venue, at the entrance to every stairwell, for visitors to contact reception in the event of an emergency.

If you require additional assistance in the event of an emergency, please let us know so we can support you with a personal evacuation plan.
